The MAF sensor body functions with its module as one complete serviceable unit. You should cut the tape on the wire loom of the extension harness after which you can peel the wrapper near the air cleaner's grommet. Free the outlet grommet from the air cleaner then use it to slide down the extension harness length. The MAF sensor plate and sensor must be detached from the outlet side of the air cleaner while disconnecting the MAF sensor electrical connector from the extension harness before removing the nuts that separate sensor plate from sensor.
