The next step requires removal of the plenum assembly top when all 14 screws are disassembled. The A/C evaporator core extraction from the plenum assembly should occur after top removal. Reverse the previous steps to install the components. Before fitting the new A/C evaporator core add the correct quantity of PAG Refrigerant Compressor Oil (R-134a Systems) F7AZ-19589-DA (Motorcraft YN-12-C) or an equivalent substance to Ford specification WSH-M1C231-B. The suction accumulator/drier needs replacement only in cases of failing A/C compressor or damaged suction accumulator/drier. Begin a leak test for the A/C evaporator core before conducting its removal if you suspect a leak exists.
