First disconnect the parking brake cable along with its conduit from the parking brake lever and then release the same connections from the backing plate by activating retainer clips. Move on to disengage the parking brake cable and conduit from the backing plate by separating them from the parking brake cable bracket. Drive out the four rear wheel spindle-to-rear axle nuts keeping in mind that their shank serrations maintain the brake backing plate and wheel spindle positions until they are fully removed.
