How to service the rear brake pads on 2000 Lincoln LS?

Before servicing the rear brake pads you must raise the vehicle and stabilize it before removing the wheel and tire unit. Before continuing you should remove the caliper bolts while carefully maintaining the caliper above the brake hose and then remove the caliper. Next the brake pads must be removed. A hub-mount brake lathe can be used for brake disc machining and specification measurement before resurfacing; new brake disk installation is required when the disc is not in specification. The Rear Caliper Piston Adjuster must be used to squeeze the disc brake piston and adjuster inside the disc brake caliper. The reverse order should be followed for installing the caliper.
