2000 Lincoln LS Coolant Reservoir Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to service and repair the coolant reservoir on 2000 Lincoln LS?
A: The first step to work on the coolant reservoir requires draining the engine cooling system. Start by removing the cowl vent screen and breaking the connection between the engine vent hose and degas bottle by separating the air bleed hose. Next remove the seven bolts from the cross vehicle support before moving it to its original position. Disconnection of the degas return hose near the degas return tube allows the removal of the degas bottle through removing its two retaining bolts. The installation process requires following the reverse steps of removal.
