Begin MAF sensor service by unconnecting its wiring harness connector then remove the air cleaner clamp and separate the air cleaner inlet from its outlet point. Avoid handling the MAF sensor elements since this could cause unit failure. Use scissors to cut tape from the extension harness wire loom and pull it from near the grommet within the air cleaner without touching MAF sensor wires. Pull the grommet from the outlet side of the air cleaner before inserting it along the extension harness.
