A: In order to service Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor, disconnect battery and air cleaner. Cut MAF sensor and its wiring very carefully without damaging sensing elements. Unscrew the grommet and MAF sensor plate, and follow the procedure in the reverse to install, making sure that the plate is properly sealed to avoid unmetered air. Replace the MAF as a unit.
Q: How to Service the Mass Air Flow Sensor on Ford F-150?
A: To service the MAF sensor, remove the air cleaner cover and tray and then un-attach the electrical connector and retainer of the MAF sensor. Take off the grommet and the inner cover and unconnect the jumper wire. Lastly, loosen the MAF sensor bolts to 10 Nm (89 lb-in) and then screw them to the plane when installing.
