    A: The front control arm servicing process starts with wheel nut loosening then vehicle elevation before wheel removal. Set a soft cloth around the ball joint seal before using the proper tool to detach both the bolt and ball joint of the lower arm. Start with lowering the front bolt followed by taking out the rear clamp bolts to remove the lower arm. The installation process requires bolt 1 and bolt 3 to be torque-to-yield so new bolts and ball bearing washers along with new nuts must be used. Start by tightening nut 1 to 100 Nm but continue with a subsequent 60-degree rotation of nut 1. Then, tighten nut 2 to 120 Nm followed by bolt 3 up to 120 Nm before adding a final 90-degree turn of bolt 3. The proper torque range for bolt 3 must fall between 170 - 230 Nm. The ball joint protection begins with installation of the heat shield. After that you can proceed with lower arm ball joint installation by attaching the bolt.
