How to Service the Rear Door Power Window Motor on 2001 Ford Focus?

The process to repair the rear door window motor starts with removing the door trim panel along with the side impact bolster and door speaker if present before disconnecting the speaker electrical connector. Separate the door latch release handle with the watershield by passing a plastic knife through the Butyl strip with care to protect the adhesive surface. After connecting the window operating switch electrical connector proceed to line up the regulator clamp within the access hole. Perform the removal of window glass from the regulator clamp through pin and sleeve disengagement after which you can extract the glass. Install suitable hooks that support window glass while it reaches the top of the opening. Disconnect both electrical connectors of the window operating switch and motor connector before you remove the motor and window regulator with its mounting screws. Put the motor next to the window regulator and secure them with screws before connecting the motor to the window operating switch electrical wires. You should attach the window glass by first pushing down the sleeve and pin then press the glass firmly to lock in the pin. Proceed by disconnecting the window operating switch electrical connector followed by attaching watershield and door latch release handle before you attach the speaker electrical connector.
