To start remove the lower radiator air deflectors bolts followed by removing five screws when equipped or seven screws. The condenser to evaporator line (19835) must be disconnected so technicians can remove both its old O-ring seal. The installation of the condenser to evaporator line requires a new O-ring seal coated with PAG Refrigerant Compressor Oil (R-134a Systems) F7AZ-19589-DA (Motorcraft YN-12-C) or any equivalent material that satisfies Ford specification WSH-M1C231-B. The evaporative emission canister purge valve on vehicles with a 3.0L (4V) engine needs detachment to perform the installation successfully. Start by disconnecting the electrical connector and removing the nuts. First detach the power steering reservoir through nut removal before disconnecting the wiring harness and then removing two nuts and the bolt. Use a new O-ring seal with PAG Refrigerant Compressor Oil (R-134a Systems) F7AZ-19589-DA (Motorcraft YN-12-C) or an equivalent that meets Ford specification WSH-M1C231-B to disconnect and reconnect the condenser to evaporator line spring lock coupling.
