2002 Ford Ranger Antenna Cable Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to Service and Repair the Antenna Cable with a One-Piece Design on 2002 Ford Ranger?
A: Service the antenna through its one-piece cable by first removing the radio chassis while positioning the antenna lead-in cable. Open the glove box door while releasing its tabs before lowering it to its complete position. Push the rubber grommet through the sheet metal to expose the antenna lead-in cable wire clip opening. After this step insert the antenna lead-in cable through the hole. Start by turning the radio antenna mast counterclockwise before unsnap and uninstalling the radio antenna base cap then remove the antenna base together with lead-in cable assembly by unscrewing the required screws. First lift the antenna base while disconnecting the lead-in cable then insert the rubber grommet once again through the sheet metal to pass the antenna lead-in cable through the opening. To install these components simply execute the reverse steps of removal.
