2002 Ford Thunderbird Coolant Reservoir Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to service and repair the coolant reservoir on 2002 Ford Thunderbird?
A: The first step for servicing or repairing the coolant reservoir requires draining the engine cooling system. After the cowl vent screen removal you should disconnect the engine vent hose before separating the air bleed hose from the degas bottle. Follow the removal of seven bolts to relocate the cross vehicle support before you separate the degas return hose from its tube. The degas bottle should be removed from the vehicle by first taking out two holding bolts. Installation of a new degas bottle can be done in reverse order to removal.
