How to service the Center Console Base with an automatic transaxle on 2002 Mercury Cougar?

Removal of the battery ground cable and placing the selection lever in the neutral position are required to service the floor console of the vehicle with an automatic transaxle. Get the screws on the back off, use the parking brake, remove the ash tray and stowage tray. Unscrew all electrical connector and hose the console off. Installation Reverse the process.
