The service begins with removing the coolant hose bracket then follows with the engine lifting eye and engine oil level indicator tube after which comes the coolant hose clamp. The service continues by unfastening the lower bolts. The Heated Oxygen Sensor (H02S) at the wiring harness must be disconnected first to protect both sensors and harness from damage. Detach the exhaust manifold from the Three Way Catalytic Converter (TWC) by removing the HO2S wiring electrical connector first. Loosen the TWC bracket bolt after vehicle support and lowering the TWC will make stud clearance possible for the exhaust manifold.
