To access the shift cable on the transaxle range lever housing, pull the tab on the cable then remove the cable from the shift lever by prise. You should first remove the rear air distribution duct and detach the rubber grommet from the bulkhead after you pull back insulation from the passenger compartment. The next task requires moving the shift cable away from the manual lever before detaching it from the transmission shift cable bracket through tab depression. The shift cable should be fed into the inside of the vehicle when you remove it. Delivery of the shift cable starts from within the vehicle when installing new cables by pushing the cable through the floor before completing the reverse order of removal steps.
