Start the procedure by taking off both wheel and tire components and discarding their nuts. The operator should remove both the bolt as well as the flag nut into a discard container. The shock absorber and spring assembly must be taken out before positioning the upper mount and shock absorber with the spring for reference in reassembly. A proper spring compressor tool will enable you to reduce spring tension before the shock absorber becomes pressure-free. You should hold onto the shock rod to remove the nut along with washer before taking out the shock absorber and disposing of the nut.
