How to service the Tailgate Handle on 2003 Ford Ranger?

Service of the tailgate handle starts with screw removal and then the removal of the tailgate access cover. The remote control connection with the tailgate latch actuating rods must be separated by opening the clips to detach those rods. First detach the tailgate latch remote control nuts before removing the tailgate handle from the system. Do the opposite of removal steps to install the components.
