Starting service required the operator to remove engine air cleaner assembly then disconnect speed control servo from its electrical supply. Start by removing the speed control servo bracket screws followed by unlocking and turning the speed control actuator cable cap in a counterclockwise direction by pushing its locking tab. The speed control cable should be separated from the speed control actuator pulley after gently compressing the retaining spring and taking out the speed control cable slug. The speed control cable slug needs to be inserted into the speed control servo pulley slot while gently pushing the retaining spring until complete seating. Drive the speed control actuator cable cap tabs into the slots of the speed control servo housing before installing the cap properly and ensuring the rubber seal maintains its correct position to prevent high idle conditions that arise from improper cable core wire folding. The speed control actuator cable cap requires clockwise rotation until the locking tab locks in place.
