How to Service the EGR Valve on 2004 Ford Expedition?

Service of the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve starts with removing the appearance cover along with the appearance cover bracket. Before the EGR valve service you must separate the EGR valve vacuum hose while also detaching the EVAP canister purge solenoid vapor hose. First disconnect the EGR valve tube upper fitting then remove the EGR valve after discarding its gasket before reinstalling all parts forward. Clean both faces with care since the EGR valve consists of soft metal before you install new gaskets. Attach the EGR valve while tightening bolts to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft) then continue turning them by 90 degrees additional. The EGR valve tube upper fitting installation must complete alongside the brake booster bracket and tube reinstallation as well as the safe connection of the EGR valve vacuum hose and the EVAP canister purge solenoid vapor hose. The last step includes installing the appearance cover bracket followed by the appearance cover.
