2004 Lincoln LS Radiator Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to service and repair the radiator on 2004 Lincoln LS?
A: Before working on the radiator all repairs must start by positioning the vehicle in NEUTRAL on a hoist then disconnecting the battery ground cable. Start by draining the cooling system and proceeding to take off the air cleaner outlet tube and the upper radiator sight shield. The service requires following images to show the order of removal while lowering the A/C condenser until you can access and remove the A/C condenser-to-radiator bolts. The forwardleaning of the radiator will enable access to combination cooler bolts. You can free the combination cooler by raising it toward the front until the radiator clips release it. To access the radiator you should remove three bolts before lowering the shield position while releasing clips to safely remove the radiator shield. The combination cooler must be placed correctly into the retaining clips of the radiator when you install it. The cooling system completion requires returning your steps in reverse order with subsequent filling and bleeding of the system.
