2005 Ford E-150 Evaporator Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to service the evaporator core in the auxiliary climate control system on 2005 Ford E-150?
A: The service process for the evaporator core in the auxiliary climate control system requires starting with air conditioning and heater assembly removal. Before continuing service on the evaporator core you should disconnect the spring lock couplings of the core and throw away the O-ring seals. The operator should position water heater hoses out of path while removing the evaporator case cover by removing its screws. Start by taking out the A/C evaporator core after you remove the case cover through two steps of disconnecting the seal followed by removing the core itself. Also remove the thermostatic expansion valve from the apparatus. After following the removal procedure in reverse you can finish the process by installing the new components.
