  • Q: How to service the Camshaft Position Sensor on 2005 Ford F-150?
A: As a first step for servicing the Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor start by removing the battery ground cable then draining off the engine cooling system. First service and check the heater outlet tube O-ring seal before putting on a new one if necessary. Apply clean engine coolant for lubrication. Before putting the bolt back you need to reposition the heater outlet tube and tighten it to 10 Nm (89 lb-in) during reinstall.
