How to service and repair the automatic transmission filter and transmission pan on 2005 Ford F-150?

With the vehicle neutral on a hoist, loosen the pan bolts and drain the transmission, then remove the pan, gasket, filter and seal. Clean, inspect pan, gasket and magnet. Remove any remaining bore seal if fitting new filter. Install new or reused filter/seal, reinstall pan and bolts, refill correctly.
