Service of the right-hand exhaust manifold requires that you place the vehicle in neutral position and use a hoist. Start by removing the transmission filler tube and the starter and then the right-hand inner fenderwell if they apply. Before reinstalling the exhaust manifold to the catalytic converter you need to detach the four nuts by tightening them to 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.). Follow the sequence specification when reinstalling the exhaust manifold by tightening the ten nuts and manifold to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.). Cleaning sealing surfaces must only use plastic scrapers due to their ability to prevent scratches and leaks when completing this process. Metal surface prep should clean the sealing surfaces using instructions from the packaging and the old exhaust manifold gaskets should be discarded. After performing the removal steps the installation process can be finalized.
