How to service the rear ABS sensor on all on 2005 Ford Five Hundred?

Begin serving the rear ABS sensor on all vehicles by placing the car in NEUTRAL position on a hoist. Removal of the ABS sensor requires disconnecting its electrical connector accompanied by a bolt removal. Reinstallation requires tightness of 8 Nm (71 inch lbs.). Start by removing the ABS sensor harness spring clip while simultaneously taking out the two pin-type retainers from the rear control arm of the left-hand side. Then proceed with removal of the ABS sensor by releasing its pin-type retainer. First disconnect both pin-type retainers which are attached to the rear control arm before separating the ABS sensor from its harness spring clip and lastly removing the three pin-type retainers to remove the ABS sensor on the right-hand side. The process of installation should be done in reverse order to the removal procedure along with proper routing of the ABS sensor harness in the rear subframe assembly.
