The service on heater core begins with quarter trim panel removal before disconnecting actuator wires and screwing out auxiliary temperature blend door actuator for removal. The next step requires you to unscrew the three security screws at the auxiliary heater core cover. Fitting proper clamps on the auxiliary heater core hoses and placing the tubes over a drain pan will catch leaking coolant. After clamps removal and hose disconnect the auxiliary heater core can be taken out. The heater core installation requires following the reverse order of removal steps with an additional step to refill the engine cooling system afterward.
