2005 Ford Mustang EGR Valve Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to Service and Repair the EGR Valve System Module on 2005 Ford Mustang?
A: Disconnection of the battery ground cable represents the first procedure for servicing the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) system module. The service technician should remove the vacuum tube and electrical connector which are connected to the EGR system module. The EGR system module should connect through its upper fitting to the exhaust manifold tube at 39 Nm (29 lb-ft) torque when reinstalling the fitting. The EGR system module requires two bolt removal before installation so reinstall these bolts at 25 Nm (18 lb-ft) torque setting. Finish up the installation work by undoing the steps used for removal.
