The first step involves unfastening both catalyst converter nuts mounted on the exhaust manifold before tightening new nuts to 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.) when reinstalling. The service begins with disconnecting the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system module tube from the exhaust manifold before tightening it to 39 Nm (29 ft. lbs.) during reinstallation. Follow by taking out both the nuts securing the 6 nuts of LH exhaust manifold and also disposing of the old gasket. To install the new LH exhaust manifold gasket you should start by following removal steps in reverse order before securing the nuts at 23 Nm (17 ft. lbs.).
