Handwashing should be complete after the deployment due to sodium hydroxide residue that might be present. The use of memory saver devices must be avoided because they present personal injury dangers. Handle the seat gently by moving away from the inboard side shield and torque tube because these areas should not be used to lift. The air bag warning lamp will activate when the RCM fuse is pulled out during ignition because this is considered normal without indicating any system failure. A thorough check of the SRS operation and absence of faults needs to be conducted before the vehicle can be handed back to the customer. Disassembly begins by removing the front seat and backrest followed by seat track and nuts removal. The driver seat module should be uninstalled together with all driver seat components. Detach the retainers to separate the cushion trim cover from the cushion pan and cushion foam pad and climate-controlled seat cushion duct when present. The SRS needs to be repowered after front seat backrest reinstallation followed by reversing the previous steps of disassembly.
