When servicing the heater core, a leak test should be started in case a leak is suspected. Eliminate the screws that are attaching the heater core cover and the plenum chamber itself. Removal of heater core is done by cautiously slicing the seal above inlet and outlet tubes. In order to install new core, one only needs to undo the steps of removing it.
