First disconnect the HO2S electrical connector before removing the cowl vent screen together with the cowl extension. The service requires exhaust manifold EGR valve tube separation by removing its bolts in addition to exhaust manifold heat shield removal. Electrical and physical disconnect of catalytic converter from the exhaust manifold enables access to the six bolts that secure the exhaust manifold. Manual removal of the exhaust manifold with the attached gasket continues after the gasket's disposal.
