How to Service and Repair the Front Door Latch Assembly on 2006 Ford Escape?

In order to fix the front door latch, one should take out the exterior handle and unscrew its reinforcement. Unscrew interior handle, unscrew cable conduit and cable latch. Take off the latch bolts, put in new ones at 8 Nm, remove the electrical connector and slur the latch assembly out. Apply grease on reinstallation.
