The engine oil draining process should end with tightening the drain plug to 26 Nm (19 ft. lbs.). The next step involves removing the oil filter before discarding it. Position and remember the location of the stud bolts before discarding the oil pan gasket and removing all 10 bolts and 5 stud bolts and the oil pan. Avoid metal scrapers and abrasive tools for oil pan sealing surfaces during installation since plastic scrapers and metal surface cleaner will prepare new gaskets to be placed prior to tightening. Place a silicone one sealant of specified dimension on targeted areas after which install the oil pan while fitting the bolts and stud bolts loosely.
