A repair or servicing process of the defroster door vacuum control motor starts with removing the audio unit and lower steering column cover. The next step involves removing the three duct screws located on the center panel before setting the duct panel to the side. The service on the defrost door vacuum control motor starts by removing both plenum chamber screws while also disconnecting the vacuum connector connected to the motor. The defrost door vacuum control motor requires removal of the two retaining screws. The motor needs a minor adjustment of the plenum chamber position to reach a proper rotation which clears the retaining arm. Free the defrost door vacuum control motor from its retention area then detach it. Follow the opposite order of the removal process to put in the new motor.
