How to Service the Mass Air Flow Sensor on 2006 Ford F-150?

Service of the MAF sensor begins with disconnecting the battery ground cable. Followingly release the clamp while detaching the air cleaner cover from the air cleaner tray before lifting off the air cleaner tray through the grommets for removal. Remove the MAF sensor electrical connector while detaching its electrical connector retainer. After removing the grommet from the air cleaner cover you can pull it down along the wiring harness so you can take out the air cleaner inner cover along with the MAF sensor. Use a tool to remove the air cleaner inner cover so both components separate from the air cleaner cover with their junction to the MAF sensor wire. The MAF sensor needs its retaining bolts to be unscrewed in order to be removed. The installation requires spanner bolt tightness at 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
