How to service the thermostat housing on 2006 Ford Freestar?

In order to service the thermostat housing, drain the cooling system and disconnect upper radiator hose, air cleaner outlet tube and remove. Unscrew the best part which is the housing bolts and drop the gasket. Reassembly: Tighten bolts in 8Nm then an extra 60 degrees then refill and bleed up the cooling system.
