Thermostat Housing

The first step for servicing thermostat housing involves draining the cooling system fluid. The next procedure includes removing the air cleaner outlet tube before disconnecting the upper radiator hose from the thermostat housing. The service of thermostat housing begins with draining the cooling system. Next, remove the bolts from the thermostat housing to engine and detach the housing. Discard the gasket. The initial thermal housing-to-engine bolt tightening should be done in two stages to 8 Nm (71 inch lbs) while the second stage requires an additional 60 degrees of torque. The installation procedure begins by following the opposite steps from removal then filling the system and performing a bleed procedure on the cooling system.
