Perform this job after you disconnect the battery ground cable then remove the air cleaner outlet pipe. The generator air inlet duct requires bolt and nut removal while these parts must be tightened to 6 Nm (53 inch lbs.) when reattaching for service purposes. You should depress the locking ring to separate the brake booster vacuum supply tube from the intake manifold and also the evaporative emissions (EVAP) tube. Separate the two swirl control valve electrical connectors before removing the two pin-type wiring harness retainers together with the fuel rail insulator.
