How to service the thermostat housing for the 2.3L engine on 2006 Ford Fusion?

In order to service the thermostat housing of the 2.3L engine, lift the vehicle, drain the cooling system, and take off the accessory drive belt. Unplug heater and lower radiator hoses, unscrew housing bolts and replace gasket. Install the new housing, a new gasket, install bolts to 10 Nm and repeat the process to complete.
