    A: The service process of the throttle position (TP) sensor begins with disconnecting the battery ground cable and electrical connector of the TP sensor. Proper screw removal of the TP sensor requires turning them 1 to 2 full turns using a hand tool ahead of using a suitable high-speed driver for final removal. The installation process requires removal of the TP sensor along with its associated two bolts. To install the new TP sensor follow the recommendation to apply 3 Nm (27 lb-in) of torque. A fresh TP sensor together with replacement screws should be implemented because the continuation of old components is forbidden. The correct driver for screw installation should be a low-speed type because using a high-speed driver will harm the TP sensor. Proper sensor installation demands correct insertion of the rotary tangs onto the throttle shaft blade followed by suitable rotation of the TP sensor.
