The service procedure for Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve begins with disconnecting the vacuum tube from the EGR valve while tightening the exhaust manifold-to-EGR valve tube fitting to 50 Nm (37 lb-ft). You should first use a wrench to remove the two EGR valve bolts before installation while tightening them to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft). When you remove the EGR valve you should dispose of the old gasket then clean both gasket-facing surfaces which consist of soft metal material. To finish the installation merely install a new EGR valve gasket before following the opposite direction of the removal steps.
