Start by removing the brake jounce hose clip so you can pull the brake jounce hose downward until it cleaves from its bracket. Place the hose aside. The procedure requires the removal of two components: first disconnect the ABS wheel speed sensor harness bolt then lock the hex holder to stop ball stud turning to remove the upper stabilizer bar link nut. You should take note of the four strut upper bushing plate nut positions before uninstalling these nuts to prepare for strut and bolt removal. Prevent movement of the axle shaft outboard because an extended tripod CV joint may cause internal parts to separate and lead to axle shaft failure. Transfer the upper mounting plate of the new assembly into the inner fender by using reference marks to align the four strut upper bushing nuts then torque them to 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.). Connect the strut-to-knuckle bolts and nuts while tightening them to 115 Nm (85 ft. lbs.), then secure the upper stabilizer bar link nut to 63 Nm (46 ft. lbs.) before tightening the ABS wheel speed sensor harness bolt to 23 Nm (17 ft. lbs.). The brake jounce hose needs to be repositioned onto the bracket and then the brake jounce hose clip must be installed and the front end alignment needs to be checked with any required adjustments.
