To service the rear coil spring, lift up the vehicle with the transmission in the neutral. Keep taking out upper ball joint nut, lower shock absorber nut and bolts. Record the coil spring positions then disassemble the coil spring. Installation Reinstall by replacing parts and tightening all bolts to recommended torque values.

Safety goggles are to be always put on when using the compressor to service the coil spring. Avoid impact wrenches. In order to strip the strut, compress the coil spring, loosen the strut nut (53 Nm when reassembled), and loosen the strut and insulators. Then reassemble with bearing plate arrow facing outboard and reverse disassembly.
