A suitable suction device should be used to drain power steering fluid from the reservoir. The first step includes removing the steering gear banjo bolt securing the power steering pressure line before disconnecting it from the gear and discarding both installed seals. Reinstall the banjo bolt by using torque to 55 Nm (44 ft. lbs) values. The clamp release disconnects both the return hose from the steering gear before removing from the return line. Secure the power steering line bracket-to-steering gear bolts by tightening them to 9 Nm (80 inch lbs) after installation. The power steering pressure line must have the banjo bolt removed along with its two seals before pipeline reunification and tightening this bolt to 48 Nm (35 ft. lbs). Conclude the procedure by reassembling the power steering system and performing the necessary system fill.
