2007 Ford Expedition Yaw Sensor Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to Service and Repair the Yaw Sensor within the Stability Control Sensor Cluster on 2007 Ford Expedition?
A: Service or repair of the yaw rate sensor within the stability control sensor cluster starts with removing the front floor console. You need to disconnect the electrical connector from the stability control sensor cluster followed by removing the four bracket securing bolts. The reinstallation process requires upper bracket bolts to reach a torque setting of 9 Nm (80 inch lbs.) while the lower bolts need to be secured at 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.). The stability control sensor cluster requires two bolt removal before installation where these bolts should be torqued to 12 Nm (9 ft. lbs.). Reinstall the vehicle by doing the opposite steps when removing the steering column.
