    Q:
How to Service the Yaw Sensor on Ford Explorer Sport Trac? Posted by Customer
    A:
Service of the yaw rate sensor requires initial step removal of the pin-type retainer and driver side floor console finish panel. Your next step should be to eliminate the two bolts and two nuts that secure the left-hand instrument panel brace while you should tighten the hardware to 9 Nm (80 inch lbs.) before reinstalling. First disconnect the electrical connector of the stability control sensor cluster by removing the two screws from the left-hand heater duct. Remove the electrical harness retainers from the stability control sensor cluster then place them away. You should remove the stability control sensor cluster after taking off its bracket nuts and then install it with tightened nuts at 7 Nm (62 inch lbs.). Conclude the installation by running the removal procedure in reverse order. Software calibration of the anti-lock brake system (ABS) module needs to follow scan tool procedures when installing a new stability control sensor cluster.

    Q:
How to Service and Repair the Yaw Sensor within the Stability Control Sensor Cluster on Ford Expedition? Posted by Customer
    A:
Service or repair of the yaw rate sensor within the stability control sensor cluster starts with removing the front floor console. You need to disconnect the electrical connector from the stability control sensor cluster followed by removing the four bracket securing bolts. The reinstallation process requires upper bracket bolts to reach a torque setting of 9 Nm (80 inch lbs.) while the lower bolts need to be secured at 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.). The stability control sensor cluster requires two bolt removal before installation where these bolts should be torqued to 12 Nm (9 ft. lbs.). Reinstall the vehicle by doing the opposite steps when removing the steering column.

    Q:
How to Service and Repair the Yaw Sensor on Ford Explorer? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step for yaw rate sensor maintenance requires removal of the pin-type retainer along with the left-hand floor console finish panel. The left-hand instrument panel brace requires removal of its two bolts and two nuts before installation where you must use 9 Nm (80 lb-in) torque setting. You should first disconnect the electrical connector from the stability control sensor cluster then remove two floor heater duct bolts on the left side. Disassemble each electrical harness retainer connected to the stability control sensor cluster and place the parts to the side. Loosen the two stability control sensor cluster bracket nuts to access the stability control sensor cluster which should be removed before reinstallation by securing the nuts to 7 Nm (62 lb-in). The installation ends with performing the steps in reverse order to ensure all components are tightly implemented. The installation of new stability control sensor clusters requires ABS module calibration through scan tool instructions.

    Q:
How to Service the Yaw Sensor on Mercury Mountaineer? Posted by Customer
    A:
Service of the yaw rate sensor begins with disconnecting the battery ground cable. First remove the pin-type retainer then the driver-side floor console finish panel followed by 2 bolt removal and 2 nut removal of the LH instrument panel brace and finally tighten all nuts to 9 Nm (80 inch lbs.) during reinstalls. First remove the 2 heater duct screws from the left-hand side and disconnect the stability control sensor cluster electrical connection. Move the treatment retainers of the stability control sensor cluster away then place them on the side. The process requires removal of stability control sensor cluster bracket nuts and the cluster itself before stable control sensor cluster installation where nuts need tightening to 7 Nm (62 inch lbs.). Within the connection configuration and calibrating procedure for installation of the new stability control sensor cluster reverse the previously removed steps and follow diagnostic tool instructions while using built-in data from the vehicle.
