  A: The procedure to fix the front door exterior handle starts by taking out both the interior trim panel and bolt that secures the front door handle before setting the handle aside. Place the watershield to the side but before doing so disconnect exterior mirror electrics if needed along with keyless entry system and disarm switch wires from the door. Situate the door module grommet for wiring before reattachment of electrical connectors to the window regulator and window switch. Next increase the front door window to expose the glass clamp bolts for access. Separate the electrical connectors of the window regulator and window switch before you loosen both window glass clamp bolts while keeping the window at the full upright position using tape. When equipped with this feature, use the correct procedure to detach the door lock cylinder circlip before setting aside the front door lock cylinder rod and pawl and subsequently take out the front door lock cylinder pawl from the actuating rod. Position the front door lock cylinder rod together with the pawl onto the door lock cylinder then slide the metal clip. Reinstall the window glass clamp bolts while positioning the window at the maximum rearward angle and tighten them to 8 Nm (71 lb-in).
