How to service and repair the alternator on 2007 Lincoln Mark LT?

In order to service the alternator, disconnect the battery. Take out the air cleaner pipe depending on the type of engine then put aside the drive belt. Take out the bolts of the generator bracket and loosen the generator bolts to get access to connections. Unscrew the electrical connector, dismount the generator, recount all the bolts as required.
