2007 Lincoln Mark LT Camshaft Position Sensor Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to service the Camshaft Position Sensor on 2007 Lincoln Mark LT?
A: Service of the Camshaft Position Sensor begins by detaching the air cleaner inlet pipe and resonator situated on the left-hand side. Both sides require the detachment of the camshaft position (CMP) sensor electrical connector. Free the CMP sensor by removing its securing bolt then remove the sensor from its position. Prior to new sensor installation you should both tighten the bolt to 10 Nm (89 lb-in) and apply engine oil to cleanse the O-ring seal of the CMP sensor. Perform the installation by following the opposite order of removal to finish up procedures.
