2007 Lincoln MKX Blend Door Actuator Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to service the RH temperature blend door actuator for the dual-zone EATC on 2007 Lincoln MKX?
A: The maintenance process for the RH temperature blend door actuator within the dual-zone Electronic Automatic Temperature Control requires the removal of three screws and the detachment of its electrical connector after disconnecting the glove compartment damper and removing the glove compartment itself followed by removing the glove compartment damper and removing the glove compartment itself. You must detach the RH lower instrument panel insulator followed by the RH lower floor console trim panel from the system. The three retaining screws fastening the RH temperature blend door actuator will need to be unscrewed before detaching its wiring connector and removing the device completely. Check the RH temperature blend door linkage for possible incorrect placement as well as for any binding or damage. When replacing the actuator alone without issues in the linkage you do not need new parts from the service part kit. You must detach the two retaining tabs in order to remove the linkage. The reverse process used for removal must be executed to finish the installation.
